Guess what’s buzzing in the glamorous world of fashion? Our very own Shreveport sensation, Latasha Henderson, is taking the fashion scene by storm! This Huntington High alum has dressed the stars, graced "The Tamron Hall Show," and even wowed on Lifetime’s "Project Runway." Talk about star power!
Henderson has styled icons like Kanye West, Laverne Cox, and Telma Hopkins. You name a celebrity, she’s probably worked her magic on them! Her stint on "Project Runway" Season 15 wasn’t just a career highlight. It was a game-changer, putting Shreveport, Louisiana on the fashion map in a way nobody else ever has!
For Latasha, it’s extra special to nurture her fashion dreams in her hometown. "Shreveport has had my back from the beginning," she gushes. Starting her journey as a teenage sneaker designer at Huntington, she’s come a long way from her original stomping ground.
And here's the tea—she’s returning to the ArkLaTex with a bang, showcasing her award-winning designs. Having already broken the Guinness World Record for the longest cape (how epic is that?), she’s now hosting a fashion weekend in Shreveport. Starting on Dec. 14, this fabulous event kicks off with a pop-up shop featuring local vendors at 624 Texas St., downtown.
But the real showstopper? Dec. 15! Mark your calendars, because that’s when Henderson will debut her dazzling new collection. It’s been a while since she’s brought a collection home, making this a homecoming like no other.
