Hold on to your hats, because Fashion 4 A Cure 2024 just took Staten Island by storm! This high-energy fundraiser, which took place on October 13th at the Labetti Post, is all about raising big bucks for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and its life-saving mission.
The brainchild of D’Nari Wells, Fashion 4 A Cure is all about kicking childhood diseases to the curb. And get this—since 1962, St. Jude has been treating kids from all over the globe, making sure no child goes without treatment because of their family's bank balance. With daily costs soaring to a staggering $1 billion, events like Fashion 4 A Cure are their lifeline!
Heather Williams, the event’s ace coordinator, couldn't hold back her excitement: "Raising money for St. Jude was an amazing experience!" She wasn’t kidding—the community came out in droves to support this phenomenal cause.
A big shoutout to all the event's awesome sponsors like Black Swan Beauty Salon and Bari’s Pizzeria. Not to mention the electrifying beats from DJ Blakx and DJ Culture Blend, who made the night truly unforgettable. The place was buzzing, hosted by none other than Jacqueline Lopardo Esq and Denise “Saucy Wow” Belfon.
St. Jude is a big deal in the world of pediatric cancer treatment, having pushed survival rates from a paltry 20 percent to a whopping 80 percent. And get this—it’s the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center focused just on the kiddos. Talk about a hero's hall of fame!
